Children's Literacy

Building Literacy. Building Futures.

Why Literacy?

Access to books and reading role models has been proven to improve children’s confidence, school success, and future civic engagement. Our goal is to meet students where they are — showing up to read, donate books, and encourage educators by putting heart behind every visit.

UsAmerica Advocates Childrens Literacy programs and events will be in collaboration with public schools, primarily middle schools, community, and private organizations to maximize access to those most at risk and in need of services. Existing resources within our communities are readily available and just need to be tapped into. We will be enlisting the services of community leaders and retirees to devote a small amount of their time and experience to make a difference in the lives of our children, our most precious resource. Details of these initiatives will be expounded upon once concrete commitments and timetables are agreed upon.
